On Monday, all staff participated in a Wellbeing Professional Learning Day. The focus for the day was the Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support. Staff participated in three key sessions relating to understanding the context for a whole school approach, effective routines for learning, effective learning behaviours, understanding students and their behaviour, processes to support the new National Child Safe Standards and with the positive psychology lens, character strength spotting in our students and each other.
The day was a great success with the further cementing of team based culture and learning from one another. We identified what is important to us as a Catholic learning community and committed to consistent routines for learning. This is to support our students feeling known, loved and connected to their learning in the classroom.
Thank you to all staff and facilitators involved in this day of professional and collaborative dialogue.
