Congratulations to ex-student Florian (Class of 2015) for being part of this ground-breaking expedition. Florian serves as the second officer on the CSIRO’s research vessel, RV Investigator. The vessel set sail on January 5 for a 60-day voyage to the Southern Ocean, led by the Australian Antarctic Program Partnership and CSIRO. This mission aims to deepen our understanding of the Southern Ocean’s impact on climate change.
Safe travels and best wishes to Florian and the entire science team! Follow their journey as they investigate the profound implications of Southern Ocean changes on climate, sea level rise, and more. RV Investigator embarks on its longest voyage, determined to solve the Southern Ocean puzzle under the auspices of CSIRO.
