Our College offers many experiences for students leading into the teaching profession, including Pre-Service Placements paired with experienced mentors, Permission to Teach, roles as Learning Support Officers with flexible hours to support your studies, and positions in Casual Relief Teaching. Work Space and Ongoing Support

Our Director of Professional Learning and Development guarantees that our Graduate Teachers are fully equipped for success. You will receive a work laptop and access to teaching resources, as well as membership in our MS TEAMS platform and other sharing tools. Your workspace will feature a modern office setup with a sit/stand desk, and you can choose between a desktop screen or a laptop charging port. The College also supplies stationery tailored to your requirements.

Our comprehensive induction program includes thorough training to ensure you can confidently navigate our systems, supported by a dependable ICT Team. As you advance, we provide ongoing opportunities for collaboration through Graduate workshops. You will have direct access to a Mentor and all members of the Professional Culture and Growth Team. We will guide you through the transition from provisional to full VIT registration with expert support and knowledgeable guidance.

  • Participation in the Diocese of Sale and VIT – Graduation Induction and Mentor Program, in partnership with your mentor and other graduate teachers
  • Access to a comprehensive learning and development library through EC by Go1 Learning Portal

 

Salary and Conditions 

  • $78,801 (Teacher Level 1 Subdivision 1) + super + salary packaging + 17.5% leave loading + 1% position allowance 
  • Advance incremental salary scale for Masters Degrees (as per Agreement)
  • Graduate Lump Sum Payment (as per Agreement)
  • Salary increase each January and July (Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022) 
  • Salary Packaging through SmartSalary, including car lease

Graduate Teacher Lump Sum Payment 

A Graduate Teacher who commences employment at subdivision T1-1 prior to 1 May in any year shall be paid a lump sum on progression to subdivision T1-2 in the following year as set out in the following table:
